I always have a great dinning experience at Harumi sushi bar. The staff are always great, the food is delicious, the atmosphere of the restaurant is always welcoming. This was my first time at their new location and it looks amazing. For appetizers we got the gyoza and the shrimp which was really good. For the rolls we ordered the OMG roll, aburi roll and the trio sampler- rainbow roll, dynamite roll, and I can't remember the other roll. They were all so flavorful. The staff were so wonderful, and made us feel welcome. I will always be open to coming back. Also their drink menus have something for everyone

My sister and I went out to lunch. I don't much care for sushi, but she loves it. She ordered some bluefin trifecta and everything was delicious. It was super fresh and well-made. I even tried it and I liked it. But as a person who doesn't eat sushi, I also was able to eat at this restaurant. I had the gyoza, the tempura, and edamame. So we were both extremely happy. We were there before a basketball game and the crowd was a mix of basketball fans and other patrons. The ambience was very nice and the service was good.

We arrived around 815 and the kitchen was closing soon but the host was super nice. They told us transparently the kitchen was closing in 20 minutes and if that would be ok. Luckily it was just one of my buddies and I who were starving so we promptly were seated. The one down side is they sat us right next to the kitchen service door when they had plenty of other tables. The server was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Giving some good recommendations. All the sushi was so fresh and they informed me they have the fish flown in daily. The ambiance was nice and wasn't too loud by any means. The wagyu nigiri was great also! Honestly we inhaled almost everything. I would definitely recommend this place for fresh fish! The only roll we were not fans of was the Aburi roll which one of the runners recommended. It was just a squishy consistency and didn't have much texture. Overall I will 100% be coming back!

Beautiful ambiance and quality sushi. I came as a single diner and was given the option of a table or the bar. I was seated immediately and then greeted right away. The service was interesting with all of the staff sharing responsibility so that you could order or request something from anyone passing by. It definitely helps from a process point of view however I did feel a couple times that I was being interrupted because different people kept checking in on me. This was my only reason for reducing the star. The aesthetic is modern with a cozy vibe. Overall beautiful restaurant. The food was delicious. The sushi was made quickly and was obviously fresh and high quality.

Excellent Excellent new space they have near the Rose garden space in 101 I went on opening week and it was about 11:30 and everything you see in these pictures is what I got I had Toro Sashimi and bluefin Sashimi and a roll. I forgot the name of the Roll last picture you see is from the former location across the street they can still do this if you'd like as a Toro Fan. It's Toro Niri. They use forbidden Rice also known as black rice and they've aced it and even moving into the new location they've kept the consistency and perfection that they started with. A little feature about "black rice".. if you do it yourself it's got to be done absolutely perfect it takes a lot a lot a lot of time and I've spoken to plenty of chefs in the world here in Phoenix and they all say the same thing.. if you want it to look like the way it does here at harumi you've got to watch it and babysit it that's why it's so wonderful. The seating is spacious they have a cocktail bar near the front and you can still see all of the chefs doing their craft as you're seated. There are plenty of servers and the only issue they have is if you give one server your payment as you're finishing, you must remember their name. But that is not to diss or discredit them, they just want to make sure everybody is taken care of and they're doing wonderful. Do NOT be ashamed if you're a sushi fan and you're an urbanite (like me) and not in the corporate and business world, but work a regular 9 to 5 or 7:00 to 3:00 or a 6:00 to 2:00 or even a 5:00 to 12:00 they are for all

My favorite sushi spot in downtown and it never disappoints! I had the shishito peppers with garlic ponzu soy and bonito flakes do yummy. The hamachi carpaccio is amazing. And I had the assorted sashimi. Everything is so fresh and delicious. I love the ambiance here. Very upscale. We sat at the bar and the bartenders are very attentive. I highly recommend this spot.

Wow. A friend recently recommend this place and I am glad I made the voyage downtown. Fresh and exciting new dishes. Best sushi I've had in AZ. Definitely better than Nobu.

They recently moved to this new location and it suits them so well! I love the ambiance. It feels so classy and makes you recall any etiquette lessons you've learned, haha. The staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the way the food was plated. Please note, if you're considered color blind, one person in my party is considered color blind. He thought the rice on the sushi looked weird. I said oh yes! It looks like they use a purple rice here! And he was relieved because it looked black to him, lol.

We went here to celebrate my cousin's very first job offer and it was the perfect spot to celebrate! The space is absolutely beautiful! The decor is so eclectic and warm and welcoming. It's a very large space and even when it's full you don't feel clustered in with other people. The food is spectacular - everything we tried was delicious. The wait staff were amazing - they use a different system where any of the wait staff can help you or take your order at any time. This was so very helpful being able to quickly stop anyone that was walking by to ask a quick question or order another drink. We had appetizers, cocktails, mocktails, and a sushi roll. We left happy!!

We recently celebrated here with some delicious sushi and a bottle of wine. The ambience is inviting and warm and a bit upscale. The jalapeño appetizer was to die for! Must try the oh my god rolls. They are called that for a reason. We had an excellent service and sat on the patio. It's already getting hot in Phoenix, but the misters made it really nice. The only thing I didn't like about this place is the co-op bathrooms. For me it means I have to wipe the man who went before me's pee off the seat before using the restroom, no toilet seat covers. Kinda gross. The food was worth the 45 min waiting. Definitely make a reservation if you're going to check it out on a weekend.
